At the April meeting of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, First Vice Chairman Tom Kiral announced the formation of the Young Professionals of Indiana County.

The Organization will provide netwroking opportunities for young professionals in Indiana County and the surrounding region. The primary goal will be to provide the chance to grow both professionally and socially.

According to Kiral, Jason Colinet, membership/program/marketing coordinator for the chamber, will be tasked with providing organizational leadership for the organization.

"Indiana County, like many other counties in southwestern Pennsylvania, is challenged with the numbers of young people who are leaving and looking elsewhere for professional career opportunities," Colinet said. "My job will be to help work with people my own age showing them reasons and opportunities to want to start and continue their careers in Indiana County."

Colinet said YP is planning a kickoff event once it has developed its mission statement, by-laws and membership structure. Colinet encouraged anyone interested in the young professionals group to contact him at jason@indpacoc.org or at (724) 465-2511.
