The Young Professionals of Indiana County (YPI) is a group of young, active, civic-minded professionals who have a clear vision for Indiana County's future as a great place to work, live, play, and be involved. YPI is dedicated to lessening the impact of the "brain drain" on Indiana County and seeks to encourage those who have left to return.

Our Origins

In the spring of 2007, seven civic-minded professionals recognized the need for young professional men and women to come together and take action for the future of Indiana County. In cooperation with the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce, YPI emerged to meet the needs of connecting young professionals with a rapidly growing and expanding county.

Our Goals

  1. Economic development within the county and revitalization of the county's hub, downtown Indiana.
  2. Social and business networking
  3. Promotion of civic-involvement

Our Structure

YPI operates under the direction of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce. The YPI Executive Committee (pictured above) meets regularly in cooperation with the Chamber to establish the operations of the organization.
